This Cookie Policy explains how Playgap Ltd ("Playgap", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on playgap.io, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on later visits, to keep you signed in, and to collect information about how the website is used. Similar technologies such as local storage can be used for the same purposes, and where they are, this policy applies to them too.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation, such as an analytics provider, are called third-party cookies.
We use cookies for two purposes only, and we ask for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function. These are set without consent, as permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because the website cannot provide the service you asked for without them. We use them only to keep you signed in to the Playgap dashboard and to remember your cookie choice so that we do not ask you on every page.
Analytics cookies are optional. They are set only if you accept them, and we use them to understand how our website is used — which pages are visited and how people move through the site — so that we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 for this, configured so that IP addresses are anonymised, Google Signals is disabled, and the data is not used for advertising or personalisation.
We do not use advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies on this website, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies. Playgap's advertising SDK is a separate product that operates inside our customers' mobile applications; it is not deployed on this website and sets nothing on your device here.
When you first visit playgap.io we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing optional is set until you choose, and if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
You can change your mind at any time. If you withdraw consent, we stop using analytics cookies and delete any that were already set on your device.
We remember your choice for six months. After that we ask again, and we also ask again sooner if the cookies we use change — so that a decision is never carried over to something you have not seen.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse cookies from specific sites. Note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without affecting how the website works — in particular, you will not be able to stay signed in to the dashboard.
Where you accept analytics cookies, Google acts as our processor for Google Analytics and may process the data outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Notice. Google's own description of how it handles data collected through Google Analytics is available on its website.
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. When the change affects what you have consented to, we will ask for your choice again rather than relying on a decision you made about a different set of cookies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
